ASEAN TASK FORCE ON CODEX (ATFC)

As one of the important food manufacturing countries, ASEAN has actively participated and contributed in Codex procedure of international food standards establishment.  Among the region which belongs to comparable condition in terms of weather, economic , capacity building and etc. We have attempted to seek cooperation and assistance to decrease the obstructions in food trade including technical trade barrier and non technical trade barriers.

For spirits and mutual benefits of ASEAN Member States, ASEAN Task Force on Codex (ATFC) was organized to establish ASEAN positions on Codex Issues which are vital for ASEAN and  support the ASEAN positions to be effective and accomplished at Codex forum.
